We were very lucky with the weather for "Club Day" this year, the clouds were heavy but it remained dry until the last of the procession passed the Monument and headed up Derby Street towards the Market Place where they dispersed and wended their ways back to their own churches for a well earned tea.
All the participating organisations had made a wonderful effort and the costumes were beautiful although some of the children were feeling the cold as there was a definite chill in the air.
Leek Sunday Schools' Scholars Festival now officially known as "Club Day" has been "walking round" Leek town centre for 150 years. This year there was an open service which was led by St Edward's Sunday School and then Sunday School groups, Scouts, Guides and bands processed with the theme "Walking in the Spirit" in mind.
