THE LEEK AND MOORLANDS
HISTORIC BUILDINGS TRUST

Consall Lime Kilns, Consall Forge.
c.1810 Scheduled Ancient Monument, restored in June 2002 for the R.S.P.B.
by the Trust in partnership with Staffordshire Moorlands District Council

The Trust was established in 1995 with the aim of restoring those historic buildings in the Moorlands, which are in danger of being lost, and returning them to public use.

To date our biggest success has been the restoration of the Consall Lime Kilns at Consall Forge on behalf of the RSPB. The Trust secured grants and appointed contractors to clean and restore the kilns, and to provide interpretation panels for visitors to the site.

To contact the trust whether to find out more about our activities, to become a member, to suggest future projects or to donate, please contact any of the following.
