Moorlands Therapists Support Group  

The group was started a year ago and was the idea of Ruth Theobold, a therapist in Leek who realised there was a need for a therapist's support group in the area.

During the year the group has grown and at present there are 19 members. The group is informal and meet once a month at each others houses. The members arrange exchange treatments for each other and every month a therapist gives a talk on a subject of interest to the group. Collectively they arrange a Festival of Natural Therapies twice a year. This event is held locally and is a none profit making event that aims to heighten the awareness of the availability and variety of natural therapies practised in the area. The next event they have planned will be held at Rudyard Activity Centre, Rudyard, Staffs., on Sunday May 15th 2005. Admission is free and taster treatments are offered at the special price of £5.
