There are now thought to be fewer than 30 pairs of barn owls left in Staffordshire. We need your help to find out how many there are and where they are living so we can start to protect and conserve these beautiful birds.

If you see a barn owl please contact Staffordshire Wildlife Trust on 01889 880100,

The Leek Wildlife Group is a local group of the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust.
The Group holds meetings, talks and walks in the area and raises funds by a variety of means to support the work of the Trust.
Evening meetings are held at St Paul's Church Centre, Novi Lane, Leek at 7.30pm usually on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
Our Biddulph venue is the Methodist Church Centre, Station Road, Biddulph and again the meetings start at 7.30pm.
Trust sales goods, bird nuts and seed are available at our indoor meetings.
We cover the costs of our meetings i.e. The room hire, the speaker's fee and advertising, with sponsorship and admission fees so that all the money we raise goes to preserve wildlife habitats in Staffordshire.
Admission to indoor meetings for members is £1.00, non-members £2.00 and children 50p (includes refreshments).
Reserve work parties provide an opportunity for practical conservation work. The work is not necessarily heavy.
The Leek Wildlife Group has a mid-week group known as the Daisy Sniffers who meet on alternate Wednesdays to do wildlife surveys, practical conservation and bird-watching. 10 - 1pm. Arrangements are flexible.
