The Trust is not a wildlife rescue organisation, but often gets queries. Here is a list of rescuers in our area. GENERAL R.S.P.C.A. WILDLIFE HOSPITAL. Open for animal casualties 24 hours. Fully equipped animal hospital with rehabilitation facilities. Will give advice 9-5pm and can send officers out to major incidents. Tel. Will sometimes send people out to incidents or assist in finding help elsewhere. Open 24 hours. Tel: 01889 271308. Address: British Wildlife Rescue Centre, Amerton Working Farm, Amerton, Nr. with all species of wildlife. N.B. Ensure that the caller notes down the time and place where the casualty was found and supplies the information to the rescue organisation. This information may be needed when re-introducing the casualty to the wild after rehabilitation. In the case of protected species, it is also a legal requirement to document how the animal/s came into your possession. PROTECTED SPECIES NATIONAL BATLINE.
