One of the country’s finest singers and songwriters and part of a great musical dynasty, Eliza Carthy is a peerless and pioneering talent. She is the winner of 2 Mercury Prize nominations, many BBC Radio Folk Awards, a prestigious Paul Hamlyn Prize and innumerable other accolades. During her career she has travelled the globe and performed and recorded with a dazzlingly diverse array of artists including Billy Bragg, Paul Weller, The Wainwrights, Richard Thompson, Bryan Ferry, Nick Cave and Joan Baez.

Chris's book covers his memoirs from his childhood in the village of Bosley during the 1940's and 1950's and goes on to talk about various aspects of his life including an interesting chapter covering Leek.This 'hard to put down' book includes many humerous annecdotes and some serious aspects of Chris's life.
